Explain the terms Worst case
Ans
Worst
possible environment or outcome out of the several possibilities
in planning or simulation. Imagining a worst case scenario helps
in planning expenditure cuts, in formulating contingency plans,
and in setting aside
enough reserves to cushion the impact if
the event or situation actually occurs.
Worst
case =
slowest time to complete, with pessimal inputs chosen.
For example, the worst case for a sorting algorithm might be data that's sorted
in reverse order (but it depends on the particular algorithm).
